By combining expertise across multiple disciplines, they deploy state-of-the-art solutions that enhance energy efficiency and optimize operational performance for our customers. From hardware deployment and data collection to analysis and actionable insights, this team is pivotal in driving the company’s commitment to sustainable energy management. Today, we’re excited to showcase the E&IoT team, highlighting some of the roles, interactions, and future goals that make them an integral part of Ndustrial’s ongoing success.
Charles Tuck, Co-Founder and SVP of Energy and IoT Solutions, shares, “I am incredibly proud of the E&IoT team and the immense value they bring to Ndustrial. Their ability to seamlessly integrate hardware, software, and data analytics into complete energy management solutions is unparalleled. The cross-functional collaboration that this team fosters not only drives success for our customers but also positions us to lead the industry in energy optimization. Looking ahead, I see the E&IoT function growing even further, with new areas of innovation, a deeper focus on scalable processes, and an expanded global impact. I’m excited to see how the team continues to help Ndustrial shape the future of energy efficiency.”
Under Tuck’s leadership, the Energy and IoT Solutions team has built a culture of continuous innovation and cross-team collaboration, making them essential to Ndustrial’s mission. As the team grows, their work reflects the rising demand for advanced, data-driven solutions that empower industries to optimize energy usage and reduce costs.
The Energy and IoT Solutions team is composed of experts from a variety of backgrounds, including energy management, project management, engineering, and customer success. Together, they ensure that each project is a success, from hardware installation to data analysis and customer support. Some of the key members who represent this team include:
Jennifer leads the energy advisory team, which works with customers to define KPIs, analyze energy data, and uncover opportunities for energy savings. Her deep manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement expertise ensures that customers not only have the right technology but also the insights needed to make data-driven decisions and reduce operational costs.
Sarah leads the team’s project management efforts, overseeing the lifecycle of customer projects. She ensures smooth deployment and integration of hardware and data, working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure successful outcomes. Previously a chemical engineer, Sarah uses her analytical mind to help ensure the success of complex deployments.
As part of the implementation team, Charles ensures the seamless installation of hardware and its integration into the system. He conducts rigorous quality control checks to ensure all systems are connected, operational, and that data is flowing accurately for analysis. Charles is also the brains behind Ndustrial’s award-winning machine learning algorithm to predict grid peaks.
Sam is responsible for deploying energy meters and equipment for major customers, ensuring that everything is installed and operational. He can often be found coordinating with clients, contractors, and even customs brokers all around the world. He verifies that all data is captured correctly for use by the advisory team.
Collaboration is the cornerstone of the team’s success. From scoping and installation to data analysis and customer training, each team plays a vital role in ensuring the success of every project. As Sarah explains, “In E&IoT, we can’t complete a project without working together. Whether it’s building the project scope, driving installation, or training customers on our platform, all teams are involved from start to finish.”
Charles Baker adds, “The PMO team is vital for scoping and creating project timelines, while the implementation team focuses on execution—making sure all installations are correct and that the data we gather is reliable and actionable.” This seamless integration of hardware, software, and data analysis allows the team to provide customers with complete, functional energy management solutions.
This collaborative approach extends beyond internal teams. As Sam points out, “We’re not just working with each other, but with customers globally. We start by understanding their needs, install the necessary hardware, and then continue to support them through training and troubleshooting. It’s a dynamic and ongoing process.”
Jennifer echoes this, praising the culture of inclusivity and support. “Everyone is always willing to help, no matter what background they come from. We all work towards the same goal, and it’s a great environment to grow professionally.”
Collaboration is the key to success for this team. Every project is a cross-functional effort, involving close communication between the PMO, Implementation, Advisory, Software, and Customer Success teams.
Charles Baker adds that, “The PMO team is essential in scoping and creating timelines, while the deployment team focuses on execution—ensuring everything is installed correctly and that the data we gather is accurate and actionable.”
This seamless integration between hardware, software, and data analytics is what allows Ndustrial to provide a complete and functional energy management solution.
The Energy and IoT Solutions team is passionate about seeing their projects come to life. For Sam, the most rewarding aspect is seeing customer ideas transformed into real, functional solutions. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to see a project go from concept to reality. When a customer interacts with the product and benefits from it, it validates all the hard work that went into the project.”
Charles Baker echoes this sentiment, saying, “The teamwork involved in troubleshooting and refining processes is extremely rewarding. We help each other out and always find ways to improve things together.”
In addition to the satisfaction of delivering successful projects, the team also values the global reach of their work. Sam finds it particularly fulfilling to collaborate with teams and customers from diverse cultures. “Working with people across the world is both challenging and fun. It gives us new perspectives and opportunities to innovate in ways we might not have thought of otherwise.”
Looking forward, the Energy and IoT Solutions team is focused on continuous improvement and growth. Sarah mentions that the team is working on process improvements to make their projects more efficient. “We’re always looking for ways to improve, whether that’s through standardizing documentation, implementing lean practices, or tracking data to make our workflows more efficient.”
Charles Baker notes that one of the key areas of improvement has been in the organization and scalability of their projects. “In the past, it sometimes felt like we were juggling too many things at once. But now, with more streamlined processes, we’re able to manage our workload much more effectively, which helps us deliver better results to our customers.”
Jennifer adds that her team is also focused on helping customers with ISO 50001 compliance, which is a growing need in the energy optimization space. “We’re developing a programmatic approach to assist customers with ISO 50001 compliance, which will be a key part of our offering in the future,” she says.
For those considering a career at Ndustrial, the team has some great advice. Sarah encourages potential applicants to apply, even if they’re coming from a different industry. “I transitioned from a chemical engineering background, and it was a big switch. But the culture at Ndustrial is incredibly welcoming, and everyone is always willing to help. It’s been an amazing journey.”
Sam emphasizes the importance of being self-motivated. “You have a lot of latitude in this company, but you’re also expected to take responsibility and solve problems. You need to be proactive and push through challenges to keep things moving forward.”
Charles Baker adds that while the job is demanding, the supportive environment at Ndustrial makes it manageable. “Expect to work hard, but know that the team is there to support you. Everyone is understanding and willing to help when things get tough. It’s all about finding solutions together.”
