WISC Award honors female leaders whose accomplishments are driving transformational change in the logistics industry.
RALEIGH, NC — Sept. 18, 2023 — Casey Schurtz, Sr. Product Manager at Ndustrial, was named by Supply and Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics as a winner of this year’s Women in Supply Chain Awards.
Through her steadfast work on the Nsight™ Energy Intensity Platform, Casey has enabled a new and more holistic approach to energy management for supply chain operations. This approach allows companies to find – and automate – the energy-saving opportunities that make sense for them.
Schurtz recently helped launch a new Optimize module that provides customized energy-saving suggestions for supply chain operations in real time. She also led integration efforts with WattTime to enable authentic emissions reductions based on real-time carbon emissions data.
Schurtz was also recognized for her capacity to build others up. Unlike many product managers, she works closely with clients to not only create product roadmaps, but to onboard and train new users. She has an innate ability to sense where people are and meet them there.
“I love helping people,” says Casey Schurtz, “and I especially love helping people save energy. So this award is a huge honor, and I’m really excited to meet the other winners at the Women in Supply Chain Forum in November.”
The award honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. Schurtz was selected from over 400 nominees.
“While there’s still more work to be done, what we’re doing is working,” notes Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “From truck drivers to CEOs, what these winners are doing matters to the future of all supply chains.”
